The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) are the highest honors bestowed by the U.S. government for K-12 STEM teaching, with up to 108 teachers awarded each year. Teachers are nominated and must send in a video discussing various topics, such as curriculum, how they interact with students, and equity and inclusion. RBHS science teacher, Michele Koehler, is one of three Illinois finalists. Congratulations!
